Gaurav Jain appointed as Chief Business Officer at ShareChat

Gaurav Jain has been appointed as the Chief Business Officer at ShareChat, after serving as the Head of Emerging Business at Moj and ShareChat. In his new role, Jain aims to support marketers in leveraging the platform's strengths, contributing to the growth of the advertising business, and fostering strong ties with digital agencies.

ShareChat boasts a substantial user base, with over 325 million Monthly Active Users (MAUs), exceeding 280 billion video views per month, and an average daily app usage of more than 34 minutes. Additionally, the platform sees more than 165 million pieces of content uploaded monthly.

A key revenue driver for ShareChat is advertising. Jain emphasizes that both ShareChat and Moj are committed to catering to various business verticals by addressing their specific needs rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution. Notably, in addition to ad revenues from various sources, including WhatsApp Branded Shares, ShareChat is exploring revenue opportunities arising from virtual gifting on its platform.
