Goafest 2014 | Digital Grand Prix goes to Digital L & K, JWT leads the charts!

The final set of Creative Abbys Awards was given out an illustrious ceremony held on the last day of Goafest 2014. In this edition of awards, the agencies were acknowledged and awarded for their work across six categories - Digital, Print, Integrated, Film, Radio and Film Craft.

Leading the charts was Digital Law & Kenneth which bagged the only Grand Prix awarded on the night for the ‘Half Stories - The Journey of Doing Right’ for Tata 

Capital campaign in the ‘Creative Use of Social Media’ sub-category of the Digital competition. Along with this, the agency also bagged a Gold and bronze for the same entry. 

Also marking its presence in the Gold winner’s list was DDB Mudra Group which bagged a Gold for its 'Made By You' campaign, for Femina in the Creative Use of Social Media sub-category. Along with this, the agency also bagged two Bronze metals. 

The Radio category had two Gold winners: Scarecrow Communications won a Gold metal for its entry ‘Pinkesh’ for Nitco’ in the Household Products & 

Maintenance sub-category, while Linen Advertising too won a Gold for Shakti's (Women Empowerment cell) 'Rape Confession 1' campaign (Public Services, Appeals and Charity sub-category), along with a Silver and Bronze. Besides the gold, Scarecrow Communications also added one Silver and three Bronze to their kitty. 

In the Film Craft category, which received 22 entries, Chrome Pictures was the only agency to have won gold in the category, and please not, not once but twice; one for its Lifebuoy Gondappa campaign in 'Original Music Score' sub-category and the other for the same campaign in the ‘Direction sub-categy.  The agency's first gold came for its Lifebuoy Gondappa campaign in 'Original Music Score' sub-category. It won the second one for the same campaign, in 'Direction' sub-category. The agency also bagged four Silver and one Bronze awards.

In the Print category, JWT India emerged as the sole winners of the race. While the category had received 29 entries / winners for the competition, JWT stood out for its Godrej Security's 'Antique Shop', 'House' and 'Music store' campaign in the 'Business & Home Services' sub-category.


With the closure of the ceremony, taking its tally up to 40, JWT India has taken away 20 metals on the final awards night of Goafest 2014. The agency closed its 2014 Abbys campaign on top of the table with a Grand Prix, five Gold, 13 Silver and 21 Bronze Abbys.
