Golden Globe Nominated Show ‘Killing Eve’ Available Exclusively on HOOQ

Home of Hollywood in India, HOOQ, today announces hit series ‘Killing Eve’ received two nominations for the 77^th Golden Globe Awards, to be  held in 2020. The nominations are ‘Best Television Series – Drama’ and ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama’ for leading actress Jodie Comer’s performance in the show. Seasons one and two of funny, heart-stopping, twisted cat-and-mouse thriller ‘Killing Eve’ are currently available in India, exclusively on HOOQ.

Killing Eve, starring Sandra Oh - famed for her role in Grey’s Anatomy and Jodie Comer - is the story of two women bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act: Eve, an MI5 operative, and Villanelle, the beautiful, psychopathic assassin she has been tasked to find.

Jodie Comer, one of this year’s Golden Globe nominee for best actress, portrays the charming yet undeniably psychopathic Villanelle, a brutal assassin for hire. Comer was recently named Best Actress in a TV Series at the 2019 BAFTA Awards.

Alongside Comer, Sandra Oh, who plays the co-lead and title character, Eve, was the first actress of Asian descent to receive a nomination for a Golden Globe in the category of Best Actress in a TV Drama Series, which she subsequently went on to win. She was also named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by the illustrious TIME magazine in 2019.

Eve is a bored low-level MI5 security employee, working a simple desk-job that doesn’t come close to fulfilling her secret desire of being a spy. Meanwhile, Villanelle is a capricious and dangerous assassin who enjoys a life of luxury afforded by her violent job. When Eve connects a string of murders all across Europe to Villanelle, she’s hired to track the killer. The two end up obsessed with each other and enter into an epic and dangerous game of cat and mouse.
