While our attempts to reach Arumugam were unsuccessful, senior sources from the industry and close to the development have confirmed the news to Adgully. Sources also state that her replacement hunt is still an on track, while Arumugam continue to serve her notice till November 2014.

Arumugam moved from Madison Media where she spent over 13 years, to Google India in 2012 with a plan chalked out for her already – to build the agency network for the India leg of the internet giant.

As Arumugam’s next move is not known yet, rumours have been doing rounds that she might take the entrepreneurial route or head back to where she began – the ad land.

She has handled clients like Kinetic, the Essel Group, P&G, Godrej and BPL at Madison. Before this, she worked with Ogilvy & Mather and Lintas back in 1999 as media services director. Before joining Google, she was the CEO of Madison Media West in 2003.
