Government invites applications for TRAI chairman position

The government has sought applications for the position of Chairman at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), which has been vacant since October 1, 2023. This marks the second time the government has issued such an invitation, following the initial advertisement from the Department of Telecom (DoT) on June 26.

The recent announcement from the Department of Telecommunications states, "The government of India, Department of Telecommunications intends to fill the vacancy for the position of Chairperson at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), New Delhi, which has been unoccupied since October 1, 2023."

Applicants who submitted their applications in response to the previous advertisement are not required to reapply, as per the notice.
