Great comeback for Print - Ad volumes up 98% in Q2 2021: TAM AdEx

After a severely disrupted 2020, Print has seen a great comeback in 2021, with Print ad volumes increasing by 98% and 37% in Q2 and Q3 of 2021, respectively, when compared to Q2 and Q3 of 2020, as per TAM AdEx data.

There were 400+ growing categories seen during Jan-Nov’21 in Print over Jan-Nov’20. The Top 10 categories together added 39% share of the Print ad volumes, while advertisers added 17% share.

Out of the Top 10 growing categories, highest growth observed was in Ecom-Media/ Ent/ Social Media category, that is, 4x.

During Jan-Nov’21, the Two Wheelers category was on top with 6% share of the Print ad volumes, followed by Cars with 5% share. SBS Biotech and Maruti Suzuki India were the Top 2 advertisers during Jan-Nov’21. Four out of the Top 10 advertisers were from the Auto sector during Jan-Nov’21.
