Grey Bengaluru has won the creative duties for the i1 Superseries, the upcoming motorsport racing league, founded by Machdar Motorsports, without a proper pitch process.

In an exclusive chat with Adgully, Hari Krishnan, vice-president, Grey said, "we feel really excited about working for i1 Superseries since it is an all new sports format and it is expected to change the landscape for motorsports in the country." Also the ad spends are around Rs 40 crore.

Talking about the media mix for the upcoming campaign, he said, "Social media will play a significant role and also the other media elements such as print, Television and outdoor would be used. Not only this, there will also be heavy ground activations for the same."

Though Krishnan refused to talk about the route adopted for the campaign since the creative is under development but told us that it would be really refreshing and interesting as the whole format of i1 Superseries involves city based teams, which itself is attractive and exciting."

The i1 Supercar Series, designed specifically for Indian audiences is the most awaited upcoming events. There will be teams representing various Indian cities which are all set to participate in the championship. Two cars will represent each team; one driver will be a certified international motorist, and the other a certified Indian driver.
