Havas Group picks new CEO and MD in Vietnam

Alexandre Sompheng has been named CEO of Havas Group in Vietnam. This comes after the company ended its collaboration with its local affiliate earlier this year and re-established its full-service Village offering. The firm now completely owns Havas Group in Vietnam, which will house Havas Creative, Havas Media, Havas Health, Red Havas, and Ekino.
Sompheng has worked with Havas for nearly a decade, formerly supervising operations for Havas' digital unit, Ekino. Sompheng worked at Digitas in France before joining Ekino. As group CEO, he will be responsible for all elements of corporate operations as well as advocating the firm's goals.

Meanwhile, Thanh Bui has been chosen as the agency's managing director. She has over 15 years of industry expertise and will be in charge of the agency's integrated solutions, strategic client management, and new business. She was previously the CMO of Shynh Group.
