HISTORY TV18 celebrates World Environment Day with Saving the Ganga'

Travel with HISTORY TV18 from the Himalayas to the Bay of Bengal and across the holy cities of Varanasi and Haridwar in support of the newly appointed Prime Minister’s ‘Ganga Plan’. In his new role, Mr Modi has taken on the herculean task of cleansing the river and reviving it, with the aim of turning it into a major tourist attraction. HISTORY TV18 will uncover the truth behind the green warriors who have taken up this cause and are battling for the survival and preservation of the pristine Ganges on 5th June at 6:30PM.

This five-part series promises to be an epic and insightful documentary, which will delve into the issue of why India’s most sacred river is so polluted and is dying at different intervals of its journey from its source at the Gangotri glacier till it meets the sea at Sagar Island. Each episode will deal with themes of ecology, history, and threats, and feature green heroes who are doing their bit to ensure that the river lives on.
