I just fell in love with the concept of a teleplay : Pawan Chopra

In the age of movies and TV shows, there is still a certain magic in theatre plays. The stage was set in the Shakespearean era, but the thrill and experience of watching artists perform live continues to live on. No matter which part of the world one belongs to, there is always an audience who celebrates this form of art and holds it close to their heart. For these devoted viewers, Tata Play Theatre brings ‘Har Din Naya Drama’ by giving them access to 30 plays for 30 days, everyday at 8 PM.

Today, in the spirit of the spooky Halloween season, Tata Play Theatre will stream one of the most loved Indian horror plays of all times, The Will. Starring talented and critically acclaimed Indian actors like Pawan Chopra, Anil Mange, Brijendra Kala, Anjum Sharma, and more, the teleplay sets the paranormal mood moving around the story of six youngsters who are summoned to an old family mansion in the hope of a large inheritance, however, they are confronted by both the horrors of their past and the mysterious forces that lurk the house. This will be a perfect watch this halloween for those adrenaline adventurers who enjoy the thrill of jump scares and eerie silences.

Speaking about his experience of being a part of The Will, actor Pawan Chopra said, “The experience was surreal and I just fell in love with the concept of a teleplay being shot with three cameras. We all performed scenes for as long as 30 minutes at times. Since we had all gone through many rehearsals, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. For me, it was one hell of an experience. I loved it!”

The actor further shared his favourite scene from The Will, “My favourite scene is when the entire family is together and listens to the contents of the Will. So many different characters have their own greed, desires, and complicated relationships with each other. It was a very textured, interesting interplay of emotions and the one and only time my character interacts with all the people invested in the Will.”
