The India Today Group's exit poll predictions for the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections have again got it right with a solid degree of accuracy, cementing the India Today-Axis My-India exit polls track record. With no other pollster/polling agency coming close to getting it right, the India Today-AxisMyIndia prediction stands alone amidst a litany of wrong calls.

On May 10, the India Today-Axis My-India exit poll for Karnataka projected that the Indian National Congress would emerge on top with a landslide margin. As per the Exit Poll, Congress was predicted to win 122-140 seats, the BJP 62 to 80 seats and the JDS 20-25 seats in the 224-member assembly.

The final results, announced, resoundingly validate its predictions, with the Congress securing 136 seats** in the 224-member assembly, comfortably surpassing the halfway mark of 113 seats needed to form the government. The India Today-Axis My-India exit polls had also accurately predicted the performance of the opposition parties, with the BJP securing 65 seats and the JD(S) 19 seats. The remaining seats were won by other smaller parties and independents, as forecast.
