INS issues caution notice against Vasan Healthcare for defaulting on payment

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) has issued a caution notice on Vasan Healthcare Group, comprising Vasan Health Care, Vasan Dental Care and Vasan Medical Hall. The notice has been issued after receiving a complaint against the Group from Kochi based agency Maitri Advertising Works.

It is learnt that in an email sent to INS (a copy of which Adgully has access to), Maitri had alleged that Chennai-based Vasan Health Care had defaulted on payments to the agency to the tune of Rs 18 crore for the last over three years. Maitri further pointed out that INS had issued caution notice against the Group to member publications as early as 2017.

In its email, Maitri had further mentioned, “We are given to understand that they are now approaching member publications directly for releases, when no payments had been made till date to us. We had also filed a winding up petition and have reported the matter to the IRP appointed by the NCLT.”
