Jackson in Forbes' list of dead celebrity earnings

The list comprises names of big celebrities, who have earned double money even after death. Pop sensation Michael Jackson recently took the third place in the Forbes' list of top-earning dead celebrities.

In the four months since his death, Jacko's estate has brought in $90 million. Though his afterlife earnings didn't land him a position in the list, few celebrity deaths have garnered this kind of media attention.

Since Jackson's demise on 25 June, an estimated 9 million albums worldwide, plus more than 5.5 million digital downloads have been sold.

Sony shelled out $60 million for the rights to produce This Is It, the highly anticipated movie featuring rehearsal footage of what was to be a 50-date concert engagement at London.
