JAINHITS draws growth strategy to tap and strengthen its presence in East

JAINHITS, India’s only HITS platform based service announced its strategy to strengthen its presence in the already growing East India market. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the 3 day - 17th Cable TV Show 2014, inaugurated by Shri Madan Mitra, Minister of Sports, Government of West Bengal.

Jeet Narayan Singh, National Sales Head, JAINHITS said, “It is believed that eastern INDIA, has a TV base of more than 25 million (250 Lakh) TV homes and thus the market holds a key place in the company’s success story. With this, we are cognizant of the fact that this region is going to play a critical role in the coming years and we would like to be a part of this progress by making a mark with our services. The eastern zone for the company comprises of Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal and eight North Eastern States. JAINHITS has already installed 20 headends in the eastern region with four of them operating in West Bengal alone.”

Present at the show, Sawar Dhanania, MD, Mutual Technologies, a JAINHITS Distribution Partner for Kolkata said, “According to the TRAI’s policy, it is expected that the services of several lakh cable subscribers are likely to be disrupted due to non-receipt of their Digital Addressable System (DAS) license from the Centre. Thus, JAINHITS - India’s first DTN service based on the next generation technology of HITS (Headend-In-The-Sky) can play a crucial role with its triple play service offering: Video, Voice and Data that can help digitize all analogue cable networks. JAINHITS has obtained content coupled with all the regulatory approvals to supply cable TV and broadband. JAINHITS provides an instant zero capital solutions to all Cable Operators to digitize their network while retaining complete control of their business and an opportunity to make the business grow many folds. Hence, the time has come when cable operators should join hands with the country’s first and only HITS player.”

The annual show is the biggest exhibition of its kind for the cable and television sector in the SAARC region comprising of India, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Nepal. At the event, the company showcased its high- quality and cost effective solutions for LCOs capable of running fully DAS compliant Digital Cable TV services to its subscribers.

Currently, JAINHITS offers 250+ channels including all major pay TV and will soon provide full HD and multi-screen services to its consumers. The key proposition of the JAINHITS platform is conversion of LCO to MSO with very minimum cost and providing all end to end solutions for Digital cable and Broadband services. With this, JAINHITS is all set to install over 3000 Mini Downlink Headend’s across 640 districts in India by end of 2014. JAINHITS has partnered with leading technology outfits such as Motorola (now ARRIS) and Intelsat – the largest Satellite Company in the world for satellite engagement.
