Karishma Advertising ex-CEO Noshir Desai passes away

Noshir Desai, the former CEO of Karishma Advertising and a prominent figure in Lintas' media division, passed away in Mumbai on September 6, 2023.
Noshir Desai embarked on his career during the MCM era. He was working for Everest Advertising before making significant contributions to Lintas in account management, playing a pivotal role in the success of the Four Square cigarettes brand for GPI. Noshir was widely respected for his strong client relationships and unwavering work ethic, displaying a steadfast commitment to his profession.

In the late 1980s, during the period when major agencies were establishing sister companies, Noshir was chosen to lead Karishma Advertising. Under his leadership, Karishma evolved into a creative boutique, collaborating with creative luminary Quentin Coelho. The agency achieved notable success and garnered recognition with awards in India. Despite its Mumbai origins, Noshir expanded Karishma's influence to Delhi and Kolkata.

Noshir Desai was a legendary figure in the advertising world, and his absence will be deeply felt. His contributions to Lintas and the advertising industry at large will be remembered. He has left a lasting legacy which we will always remember and honour.
