KidZania Mumbai celebrates its first year anniversary!
KidZania Mumbai an indoor edutainment theme park celebrated its first year anniversary with Chief Guest Dr. Jagdish Patil, Managing Director of Maharashtra Tourism and Guest of Honour, Shiamak Davar gracing the event. The event attendees also included celebrity mom and show host, Tara Sharma of The Tara Sharma Show, brand partners of KidZania and key representatives of the education industry.
Ranked Number 1 Amusement Park in Mumbai by TripAdvisor, KidZania Mumbai kicked off its one year celebrations with a two month special promotion offering the customers a chance to experience more of KidZania with a “same price more hours” offer.
The occasion, celebrating one year of fun, learning and freedom for all kids in Mumbai commenced with the winners of the KidZania Singing Stars captivating the audience with their singing followed by an enthralling LIVE performance by the troupe of Shiamak’s Junior Dance Company!
The event was commemorated by the swearing in ceremony of the KidZania Mumbai CounZil kids. The KidZania CounZil a national legislative body of the KidZania Government is formed of young leaders between the age of 7-12 years empowered to help govern the city. They solemnly pledged to preserve the rights of KidZania, keep its spirit alive, current and socially relevant.
A key highlight was the unveiling of the bird eye view of KidZania NCR scheduled to launch early 2016.
KidZania Mumbai a city for kids of 75,000 sqft offers children 80+role-playing activities and experiential learning that emulates real life. It engages kids aged between 4 to 14 years with environmental stewardship, career exploration and activities that build up social consciousness.
Since its official opening in August 2013, KidZania Mumbai has attracted more than 400,000 visitors from across the country making it a new, landmark attraction that boosts Mumbai’s appeal as a regional destination with a very sophisticated family edutainment product. Designed by educators, and developed to match the school curriculum, more than a 100,000 students have visited KidZania through their school excursion program. KidZania has won 2 awards at the 4th World’s Children Expo held in New Delhi in June 2014 for the Best Destination for Kids and the Best New Concept for Year 2013-14 all within its first year of operation. KidZania Mumbai was also honoured and recognized for its CSR efforts by both the Rotary Club of Mumbai Green City for “its unconditional service to under privileged children” and by the Indian Development Foundation with the IDF CSR Award for 2013-14.
