King Of Spices, Mahashay Dharampal Gulati of MDH Masala passes away
Mahashay Dharampal Gulati was born on March 27, 1923, in Pakistan’s Sialkot. He dropped out of school in 1933 before he could complete Class 5. By 1937, Gulati started assisting his father in his business. He came to Delhi after the Partition, on September 27, 1947, and started a business of spices in the year India got independence.
Over the last 70 years the MDH brand became a household name across the country and the world. The brand kept innovating and offered a variety of spices to make cooking tasty and delicious. The iconic brand was always top of mind and their sign off brand tune is still popular across all strata of the society.
A self-made business man who believed in self-relance is the most apt example for a VOCAL FOR LOCAL campaign and the made in India campaign that the Prime Minister is promoting. He was 97 years old when he passed away yesterday.
RIP #KingOfSpices
