Kitara Capital Sets Up Joint Venture With Vistas Media

Kitara Capital, a Middle-East based, global investment group, with investments across various sectors in India, both in public and private space, to set up a joint venture (JV) with Vistas Media’s content business, in Abu Dhabi.

Kitara Capital as the financing partner will make an investment up to USD 10 Million in phases, into the JV entity in Abu Dhabi while Vistas Media will act as the execution partner for the sourcing, development, production and distribution of films and digital content across languages, genres and formats.

Vistas Media, the group company has a major presence in India in the space of media and entertainment across content production, distribution, animation / vfx and streaming business.
Under their joint banner, the JV will focus to develop, produce, finance, and distribute Indian content across theatrical and digital platforms globally.

Vistas Media, under the film content and production banner Golden Ratio Films has developed produced and distributed multiple films and digital content in India and Hollywood across genres, languages and formats. Their hindi language slate includes “Bhonsle” (Manoj Bajpayee), “Albert Pinto ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai”, “Nakkash”, “JL-50” (Abhay Deol and Pankaj Kapoor), to be released Ghamasaan (Arshad Varsi and Prateek Gandhi), “Baby Crasto” (Supriya Pathak), “Lord Curzon ki Haveli”, “Super Woman” and many more.

Beyond Hindi they have produced critically acclaimed films like “AB Aani CD”, “Chadramukhi”, national award-winning film “Goshta Eka Paithanichi” in Marathi language and two films in Tamil – “Writer” and “J-Baby” in co-production with renowned Tamil director and producer Pa. Ranjith. The company has also co-produced “The Extraordinary Journey of the fakir” which is Tamil superstar Dhanush’s first international film, “Son” a road horror thriller starring Halloween fame Andi Matichak and “The Featherweight” in co-production with Hollywood’s leading production house Appian Way, which was premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in 2023 and is the closing film at IFFI, Goa.
