L’oréal India promotes Saloni Shah to Chief Digital & Marketing Officer

Saloni Shah has been appointed as the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer (CDMO) for L'Oréal India. In her new role, Saloni will be responsible for driving the growth of L'Oréal's digital-first brands on online platforms and enhancing the company's digital capabilities for the future.

Saloni joined L'Oréal in December 2013 as the Media Manager for the Consumer Products Division (CPD) after working as the Digital & Marketing Manager for Garnier for three years. In 2021, she became the Head of Digital Marketing for CPD. In 2022, she joined the CDMO team and took charge of the Media Services Centre of Excellence, focusing on key areas such as O+O media, advocacy, audience design, and partnerships for L'Oréal India.

Aseem Kaushik, the Managing Director of L’Oréal India, expressed his confidence in Saloni's appointment, emphasizing the changing expectations of consumers and the need to provide immersive purchasing experiences through cutting-edge innovations and technology. He believes that Saloni's extensive experience in digital and media, as well as her decade-long association with L'Oréal, make her the ideal candidate to accelerate the company's digital transformation in India.

Saloni herself commented on her new role, highlighting India as a significant growth market for L'Oréal Group and emphasizing the company's focus on product innovation, consumer acquisition, and beauty tech. She acknowledged the CDMO team's success in delivering exceptional consumer experiences across all channels and implementing industry-leading digital practices for improved business performance. Saloni expressed her excitement about leading L'Oréal India's growth story.

It is worth noting that Gaurav Anand, the previous occupant of the role, left to pursue other career opportunities and Saloni succeeded him.
