L’Oréal India appoints Pankaj Sharma as Director, Consumer Products Division

L’Oréal India announced the appointment of Pankaj Sharma as Director, Consumer Products Division which includes brands L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline New York & NYX Professional Make Up. He replaces Aseem Kaushik who will now head the Professional Products Division for L’Oréal in the Asia Pacific region, based out of Hong Kong.

Pankaj Sharma, a 15-year veteran with L’Oréal India and previously head of the Garnier & Maybelline New York brands, has worked across sales and marketing functions. In his current role, he will focus on building brand salience and driving consumer engagement while expanding L’Oréal’s footprint in India through new growth drivers like e-commerce. Pankaj has also had a stint in Singapore, where he was responsible for driving the growth story for Garnier in South Asia.

Aseem has been associated with the L’Oréal group for 25 years,where he spent 16 years in key roles in the Professional Products Division, eventually being appointed Director, Professional Products Division in 2011. He was a pioneer in defining and revolutionising the Professional business in India. In 2017, Aseem took over the role of Director, Consumer Products Division and under his leadership, the division registered high double digit growth . Aseem also pivoted the high growth journey for the e-commerce channel for L’Oréal India.
