Laughter continues on Comedy Central; Four new shows to go on-air

This September, primetime laughter continues with four brand new shows on India’s only 24x7 laughter destination – Comedy Central. The channel best known to deliver acclaimed comedy content to its viewers consistently, month after month is now all geared up to introduce four of the most hilarious shows as part of its primetime line-up this month.

Starting September 9, 2013, the show that premieres on air is ‘Parks and Recreation’, followed by the September 16th premiere of ‘Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza place’, ‘Yes, Dear’ and ‘Underemployed’

Here’s a look at what’s in store for the month of September on Comedy Central!

Parks & Recreation: 

Parks and Recreation is a hilarious ensemble comedy that follows Leslie Knope, a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana, and her tireless efforts to make her quintessential American town just a little bit more fun.

The show has been voted as the TV Program of the Year in 2012 at AFI Awards and won the Outstanding Comedy Award at Gracie Allen Awards in 2013. Besides winning acclaim at the most coveted award, the show has also received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series, and two Golden Globe nominations for Amy Poehler's individual performance.

Get involved in the absurd antics of the Indiana town's public officials as they pursue sundry projects to make their city a better place, starting September 9, 2013, Monday – Wednesday at 11.30 pm only on Comedy Central.

Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza place:

Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza place is a light hearted sitcom about three friends who met in college and live in the same building. The sitcom chronicles the trials and tribulations of these twenty something trio living in Boston. They work together in a pizza place. The terrific trio includes, Michael 'Berg' Bergin an aimless drifter he's effortlessly brilliant but endlessly lazy, his flat mate is Pete Dunville a more regular guy and Sharon Carter, their friend from university working for a chemical company. The show also features their dramatic and wobbly love life and the means they imply to deal with it.
The show has won accolades at American Choreography Award, USA for Outstanding Achievement in Television; BMI TV Music Award and nomination at the Teen Choice Awards for TV – Choice Comedy.

Yes, Dear:

Yes, Dear is a show following the thrilling life of Greg and Kim Warner as they struggle to be the perfect parents to their year-old son Sam. Things get more complicated when Kim's sister Christine, along with her husband Jimmy and two children, move into their guest-house. It's a battle of the parents, as the down-to-earth Jimmy and Christine try to teach worry-warts Greg and Kim about keeping their composure in the face of kid-craziness.

The show has won the Top TV Series Award at ASCAP in 2003 & 2004.

Underemployed:

From Emmy-nominated producer Craig Wright, Comedy Central brings new scripted comedic drama – Underemployed that follows the ups and downs of a group of five friends – Sophia, Daphne, Lou, Raviva and Miles. These friends live in their own ivory tower, filled with romantic dreams and hopefulness for complete world domination as they are on their road to adulthood. It is only after their college graduation, reality hits them and the group struggles, often comically, to stay optimistic through the major life changes including dead-end jobs, terrible bosses and romantic mistakes.

Join the group of old friends as they go through all the highs and lows in their newfound adult lives, starting September 16, 2013, Monday – Thursday at 10.00 pm only on Comedy Central.
