Leena Jaisani gets promoted to DSG in FICCI

Ms. Leena Jaisani has been promoted to Deputy Secretary General, at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). She earlier served as the Assistant General Secretary at FICCI.

Ms. Jaisani is an accomplished professional with an illustrious career spanning 28 years. She is a stalwart in the realms of Policy Advocacy, Government Relations, and Conference Curation.

With her role as the Cluster Head for Media & Entertainment, Intellectual Property Rights, Retail, FMCG, E-Commerce, and E-Pharma divisions at FICCI, Ms. Jaisani has demonstrated exceptional leadership. Her strategic and vision has been instrumental in establishing and nurturing flagship events such as FICCI FRAMES, the largest annual convention on the Business of Entertainment in Asia.

Notably, under her purview, FICCI has achieved significant policy milestones. This includes securing Industry Status for the Indian Film Industry, a testament to her influence in pivotal government announcements by the Finance and Information & Broadcasting Ministry during FICCI FRAMES. Furthermore, her leadership led to the establishment of the Film Facilitation Office in Delhi, a critical initiative for providing a streamlined, single-window clearance for film production in India.

Ms. Jaisani's innovative approach is evident in the creation of Intellectual Properties (IPs) like FICCI Fastrack Digital and the M&E Business Conclave. These initiatives have not only shaped the landscape of the Indian Media & Entertainment industry but have also garnered international acclaim.

She has been at the forefront of forging Audio Visual Co-production Treaties with 15 countries, including Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, South Korea, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, her leadership has seen the initiation of India's first Content marketplace, facilitating collaboration between content sellers and buyers globally.

Ms. Jaisani's global recognition extends beyond these accomplishments. She has played a pivotal role in excluding broadcasting services from the TRAI bill and establishing partnerships with prominent international events such as MIPCOM, MIPTV, Rome Film Festival, and Annecy, bringing a focus on the Indian Media and Entertainment industry.
