Maharashtra to impose tax on IPL
The Maharashtra government is taking full advantage of the upcoming IPL matches.
As the government wants to impose entertainment tax on the Twenty20 matches to be conducted by the Indian Premier League in the state.
According to the reports, the matches will be imposed by a 25% of the revenue generated from the event.
For matches played at venues located within the jurisdiction of other municipal corporations, the tax will range between 15% and 20%.
