Mahesh Shetty Shares his 'Fighter' Experience of shooting in freezing temperature!

Mahesh Shetty was recently seen in Siddharth Anand’s action-thriller ‘Fighter’. With his innocent smile, warm personality, and acting abilities, he has deftly crafted a unique place for himself in the hearts of the audience. In the movie, Mahesh plays Squadron Leader Rajan Unninathan who is wingman to Patty (Played by Hrithik Roshan). The film also stars Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the lead.

Mahesh unequivocally shared his experience of shooting for the movie and elaborated on the difficulties faced by the cast, which included shooting in freezing temperatures and living at the Air Force quarters. The actor said, “We filmed a large portion of the movie at one of India's largest air bases, using real fighter jets. We practically lived there with the Air Force officers, learning a great deal every day. It was a challenging experience, as we were almost completely cut off from the outside world. Our mobile phones weren't permitted inside due to security reasons. Nevertheless, it was an experience that I will always cherish. The weather was favourable during our stay, but it was a different story when we went to Kashmir. The temperature plunged to -2 degrees, and it was snowing heavily. We had to film scenes of snow fights and bike rides, and we were all freezing. Shooting in the snow is nothing like going on a snow holiday - it's a very demanding experience.”

He further added, "Hrithik and I were required to do flight simulations for our roles in the film. Siddharth sir had arranged for us to attend a rigorous boot camp well before we started filming. During this time, we interacted with officers to learn the nuances of each jet and were given a lot of reading material to familiarize ourselves with G Force, the make of the aircraft, and other important details. On set, we had Raymon, an officer himself, who helped us with our body language and other nuances to make our performances more realistic. I also met with some NSG commanders and attended their boot camps to get a better understanding of what it's like to be a man in uniform."

Meanwhile, the actor is working on his upcoming series ‘Kan Khajura,’ which is an adaptation of the Israeli show ‘Magpie.’ The show also features Mohit Raina and Roshan Mathew.
