Mellisa Benoist’s goodbye talk for Supergirl as Zee Café airs the finale season

All good things come to an end and so is the time for the hit series Supergirl. All previous seasons of the show were loved by the viewers on Zee Café and with the last season airing, the craze is certainly higher. As viewers continue to witness the last mission on weeknights at 7:00, here’s a special insight from the show’s protagonist Melissa Benoist. 

Giving information about coping up with the series during her maternity leave, Melissa said, “I came back from maternity leave in January, and I had some catch up to do. So, I'm in a different place in the first part. Supergirl is quite isolated.”. Mentioning about the growth of her character in Supergirl, she mentioned, “The more Kara matures, the more she's grappled with her power and what it means to carry the powers that she has on Earth and her identity as either an alien or human, or where she belongs. Those are things we're really exploring this year with her. And what makes you strong? What makes you feel empowered? Those are things we're looking at this season across the board for all the characters. But with Kara specifically, this season is more of a self-exploration, looking in the mirror and what her power means because it's almost limitless and it makes her so strong on Earth.” About deciding on the conclusion of the series and the season, she iterated, “They pitched it to me because they wanted to know if I had any input as to where I wanted to see Kara ending up at the end of the series. I had one request, and it wasn't even something they were thinking about doing. And they pitched me the end, and it's really lovely. It's a great ending. I feel fantastic about it.” Giving insights on the shoot, Melissa also mentioned that the show was shot in her maternity leave. 

In the finale season of the show, audiences can see Supergirl thrust into the greatest challenge of her life and being forced to confront her own mortality and stands on the verge of losing all hope. As her friends rally to help her in this difficult fight, a new villain arrives in National City and tests her resolve.
