MTV spreads awareness about AIDS prevention with "Play Safe! #CAPS ON" campaign

It's time to stop whispering about sex. Yes, SEX! It's time to stop being shy about condoms. Shout it out¦ CONDOMS! Starting World Aids Day, MTV is spreading awareness about AIDS prevention with a unique campaign ' MTV CAPS ON!

MTV ' the voice for India's youth ' wants you to raise YOUR VOICE ABOUT SAFE SEX! The campaign aims to talk direct, talk young, keep it simple¦yet, get maximum people to talk about the cause and show it via writing/tweeting/updating status with Caps Lock On through the World Aids Week. The #capson is already trending on Twitter in India https://trendsmap.com/local/india with youth of India re-tweeting in caps, showing their support in ALL CAPS.

Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India, explains this campaign purpose "LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX..SAFE SEX..OUR INITIATIVE ' CAPS ON ' IS SIMPLE, CONTEMPORARY AND INCLUSIVE..THAT'S WHY YOU SEE IT TRENDING WITHIN A FEW HOURS.. AS A WISE MAN SAID..ROLL BEFORE YOU ROCK."

The need of the hour is to spread the right awareness and attitude towards a taboo topic of HIV AIDS in India. We can't afford to keep under wraps the health issues and education the people have a right too. It has been MTV's constant strive to talk it out LOUD than give out cues on SAFE SEX.
