Narendra Kumar Alambara steps down as COO of Thanthi Group

Narendra Kumar Alambara has moved on from the Daily Thanthi Group as COO after spending 6 years with the organisation. Alambara joined the group in March 2012 and his responsibilities included handling different facets of their business verticals, including Daily Thanthi, Thanthi TV and Hello FM.

Prior to Daily Thanthi Group, Alambara was with the Starcom Mediavest Group as Vice President, managing their Chennai businesses apart from short stints in Mumbai and Delhi branches. With over 20 years in the media, advertising and marketing space, Alambara’s previous stints includes Havas (MPG) and IPG Group (Initiative Media) in senior capacities.

Speaking on his journey with the Thanthi Group, Alambara Remarked "My journey at the Thanthi Group has allowed me to see the media and entertainment business from a different perspective. Obviously, I’ve been with an agency for a long time so I’ve seen it from one angle. Now working with a media house that has multiple verticals – television, radio, digital – it was good to be on the other side and see how business is run. To see how you can create products and new markets for those products. The whole idea was to be a part of that process. I believe I have been quite privileged and fortunate to be a part of that process when the Thanthi Group was making that change."
