National Duniya spreads the message "Beti Bachao" this new year!

Issues like Female foeticide; alarming decline in sex ratio has become a serious concern to the society at large. We need to make some serious laws to prevent such evils prevailing in our society. On 3rd January’13, National Duniya has launched a Table Calendar made by 6 year old Saara based on the Theme – Beti Bachao- Save the Girl Child, in the special presence of Smt. Mamta Sharma, Chairperson, National Commission for Women, Padma Shri, Shri Alok Mehta, Editor-in-Chief, National Duniya, Smt. Surabhi Bahadauria, Director, National Duniya,  Shri Mukesh Sharma, Parliamentary Secretary to CM, Shri Surender Pal Ratawal, Former Minister , Swami Agniwesh, Social Activist, Shri Surender Nagar, Member of Parliament , Shri Mohammad Abeed, Member of Parliament, Dr. Aditya Arya,  Director General Home Guard.

On the occasion of inauguration of “Beti Bachao” Calendar - designed by Saara, Mrs. Mamta Sharma discussed the position of women in the country and said that she is very touched by the talented little girl Saara for bringing out such issues so beautifully through her drawings.

National Duniya along with Non-govt. Social Service organization SRV Sewa taken this initiative and  organized the event at National Commission for Women with many other prestigious and learned people who joined the event to encourage Saara. Her name is being recorded in World Record for being the youngest to get her calendar issued. The twelve page calendar is being named as “Beti Bachao”-Save the Girl Child. Saara is a student of 1st Class and lives in Ghaziabad – Vaishali. The calendar carries her drawings she made on the gender disparity and the importance of girl child in the family.

Out of many pictures some of them depicts a daughter and a father on the swing together sharing a beautiful bond of love. On this occasion father of Saara Mr. Sandeip Vishnoi said that he is proud to be a father of a girl.
