NDTV names Vikram Chandra as group CEO

NDTV announced today that Vikram Chandra has been appointed CEO of the NDTV Group. Vikram has been with NDTV for 17 years and is not only one of India's leading news personalities and anchors but has also taken on corporate responsibility for several years. He headed NDTV Profit from its creation and led it to become India's leading business channel. Vikram then became CEO of NDTV Networks where he demonstrated outstanding managerial, business and negotiating skills. His people skills and relationship building are well known.

As CEO, Vikram will have overall authority and responsibility for all aspects of the company: corporate, operational and channel performance. He will become a member of the NDTV Board.

Executive Co-Chairpersons, Radhika and Dr Prannoy Roy said "Along with Narayan Rao, we have been talking about a succession plan for NDTV for a couple of years now. We believe that change is good. The appointment was approved by the board of directors at a meeting held in New Delhi today.
