NDTV shuts down its e-commerce venture, Smartcooky

Smartcooky.com, the e-commerce venture of NDTV that sells healthy food and personal care products, has shut shop. The link to the Smartcooky.com website is no longer active.

The reasons for shutting down Smartcooky.com are not known.

Smartcooky.com, which was set up in 2015, was based on NDTV’s current food site, food.ndtv.com. Headed by Managing Director Seema Chandra, Smartcooky.com helped in making healthy choices in one’s daily life by offering a well chosen selection of quality products.

The venture had raised funding from investors such as Google’s Rajan Anandan, former Genpact chief Pramod Bhasin, VLCC’s Vandana Luthra, Siddharth Pai, Mohandas Pai, and Manvinder Singh Banga.
