Netflix lists out the first Shows and Films that hooked India

Most people wait until the third date, but globally it only takes two weeks (well, 12 days, to be exact) for the majority of Netflix members to go all the way. No, not Netflix and chill. We’re talking about your first time bingeing on Netflix.

We all remember our first kiss, first date, first home and all the little milestones in our life. This Valentine’s Day, Netflix wants to help you remember your first relationship with the world of entertainment. Think back to the moment when you got hooked and realised you just can’t stop watching: What show was it? Where were you? How long did it take you to finish an entire season? And if you say it took you less than a week to meet your first, well…you’re not alone: it only takes an average of 5 days for Indians to start their first binge!

Most Indian streamers are bingeing on the lives of the Colombian drug lords in Narcos making it the most popular show on the list. Stranger Things follows close as the love for Eleven and the gang only gets stronger. We’re also falling for shows that are big on drama and action like House of Cards, 13 Reasons Why, Suits, Gossip Girl, Marvel’s Iron Fist and The Crown. The badass ladies (and gents) from Orange Is The New Black and Breaking Bad also found their spot in the Top 10.

We also love movies, just as much as our shows. We are sitting on the edge of our seats while watching Dangal and Baahubali 2, enjoying slice-of-life films like Dear Zindagi and Piku, laughing out loud with Merritt McKinney in Now You See Me 2 or rooting for our favourite heroes Shahid Kapoor in Udta Punjab or Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. With each Netflix date we are committing more and moving towards sealing the deal. No wonder, these films made it to the first-watched list on Netflix India.
