Netflix plans to offer games on its platform along with movies & series

OTT Platform Netflix has announced to expand its platform towards the gaming sector along with movies and series. It has also hired former Facebook Vice President, Mike Verdu as the Vice President of game development, according to the media reports. He will directly report to Chief Operating Officer Greg Peters.

Verdu has been a part of the gaming sector since 1990 and has operated a lot of social games including Cafe World, FrontierVille, CastleVille, Mafia Wars, and Zynga Poker. 

This move by Netflix will help the company to gain more subscribers from the gaming industry.
