News18 brings back its award-winning initiative Kehta Hai Voter

With assembly elections happening in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, News18 once again launched its award-winning "Kehta Hai Voter" initiative. News18 strongly believes that elections are all about the common people, and it is therefore important for their voices, their issues, and their expectations to be heard. This initiative enables this by giving viewers a chance to share videos of issues that they want to raise on the channel.

"Kehta Hai Voter" was taken live on News18 Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh on 8th November and on News18 Rajasthan on 16th November. The initiative was promoted extensively not only on both channels but also through digital, social and mobile platforms including through influencers in respective markets. The response to the campaign was as always overwhelming. The campaign reach was over 30 million and received over 100,000 registrations. In order to ensure ease of participation, a special application was also enabled that allowed users to directly record and upload videos of any issue that they wanted to raise.

The strongest entries were featured on the channel – ensuring that viewers got an opportunity to highlight concerns that they wish to be addressed on priority by the political leadership in the states.
