Nikon India seeks expansion, new creative mandate

The market is abuzz with reports which suggest that Nikon India is about to launch a significant expansion drive across India and is conferring with advertising agencies to envision the creative blueprint.

However, according to some sections of the media, Nikon India's sales & marketing GM, Sajjan Kumar, has denied that such a plan was afoot. As for the company's current creative and media mandates, they are being held by ADK Fortune. But the persistent market murmur indicates that several leading agencies are associated with the ongoing development of the pitch.

It appears that Nikon India's creative plan is based on a 360 degree sweep, which will cover print, internet, TVC, OOH, and BTL. The rationale is to build on Nikon brand's substantial standing by deploying a range of programmes.

Nikon India, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Nikon Corporation Tokyo, was incorporated on May 2007. Since then, its position in India has been firmly consolidated.
