Now a security application for Facebook users

Websense has launched a Facebook application called 'Defensio' that protects Facebook users from encountering inappropriate content, malicious links, viruses or spam.

According to the reports, the company claims that the application is one of its kind and it protects the users from the the emerging treats and malicious content before they spread beyond the social Web and become a broader security concern.

Reports suggest that the recent survey by "Websense Web 2.0 at Work' shows that 95 per cent of organisations allow access to Web 2.0 sites and 62 per cent of IT managers think Web 2.0 is necessary to their business.
