Pakistan Cricket Team Promotes Child Rights & Gender Equality

Pakistan's cricket team, led by Mohammad Rizwan and accompanied by Ifthikar Ahmad, Hasan Ali, Usama Mir, Haris Rauf and Agha Salman showcased their commitment to promoting child rights and gender equality by participating in the ICC Cricket4Good event with 50 children from Karnataka at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium. This meaningful engagement was part of a collaborative effort between the International Cricket Council (ICC) and UNICEF to champion these important causes on a global scale, encouraging everyone to #BeAChampion for gender equality.

The event also underlined the spirit of cooperation, as all ten participating teams hosted clinics in cities across India, leading up to the ‘One Day 4 Children’ fixture between India and Sri Lanka on November 2 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Cricket4Good, the ICC’s outreach program, is dedicated to harnessing the tremendous power of cricket to empower women and girls.
