Payal Rohatgi to enter Suryaputra Karn!

Actress Payal Rohatgi has been roped in to play Shikhandi on the TV show 'Suryaputra Karn' produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary (Swastik Productions).

With the show entering the war phase of the story, Payal's character will be introduced.  She says, "This is my first mythological show and I have been given a warrior-type look. I always try and look for new things and this is something that I hadn't done before. Sangram (Singh, her partner) always pushes me to do different things”. Like Sangram, the actress has also taken to yoga and revealed that she has become fitter and leaner. "I am quite fit at this point and I have lost weight. Recently, I watched Bajirao Mastani, and I know how warriors are supposed to look. On TV, you don't get much time to prepare. I think I will pick up some nuances from the fight masters on how to hold a sword. I think I will also have to do some horse riding and I will just be hoping that I don't topple off the horse.”

The show is being talked about for its unique content and has a loyal audience base.
