Percept's Sunburn wins Gold at WOW Awards 2011

Sunburn ' Asia's premier Electronic Dance Music Festival and a Percept Intellectual Property bagged the ultimate "Entertainment Event of the Year' award at the prestigious WOW Event and Experiential Marketing Awards. The gala awards ceremony took place on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

Percept's Sunburn bagged the Gold in this most anticipated and elite award category. Sunburn 2010's innovative format, sterling performances by the world's leading DJ's, popularity and huge fan following made the esteemed jury vote unanimously to declare this Percept property the penultimate winner of the evening.

The fourth edition of Sunburn held from 27-29 December 2010 at Candolim, Goa witnessed three of the top ten DJ's Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Axwell performing along with Grammy award nominee Nadia Ali. Other star DJ's included Kimi, Baba Robijn, Inferno, Albin Myers, B.R.E.E.D., DJ Sashanti, Richard Durand, Sultan, Ned Shephard, Johnny Deep & Mash, Jalabee Cartel, Aly & Fila to name a few. The colourful and larger than life sets, experiential and merchandise zones, pyro-technics, fireworks and other state-of-the-art SFX wowed audiences. The festival hosted a crowd of over 45,000 fans who took away an amazing, electrifying and unforgettable EDM experience. The festival was also streamed LIVE across 82 countries reaching an audience of over 500,000 viewers.

The WOW Awards seeks to celebrate Excellence in the creation of "Experiences" across industries. The award categories aim to recognize and acknowledge events and on-ground interaction activities between the Brand and the Consumer. The crowd at the award also witnessed the live bollywood performances by the renowned DJs ' DJ Akbar Sami and DJ Akhtar at the "After Party', organised by Percept. There was a fashion show by Neeta Lulla in this Bollywood Live ' a Percept Property theme based After Party

In continuation to the celebrations, Percept also announced the launch of the "Sunburn Summer Festival 2011'. The "Sunburn Summer Festival 2011' is scheduled for May 21 & 22, 2011 at the Hotel Novotel, Mumbai. With a "Summer Cool' theme, the fest will entice crowds with a wide variety of electrifying live performances. The entertainment zones will include rock climbing, merchandise zones and flea markets, sprinklers to create the monsoon magic and therapeutic massages. While the 2 day summer fest offers a whole host of music, dance and experiential zones, the festival will also support the HIV/AIDS cause with the "Red ribbon initiative.
