Publicis Groupe Wins L'Oreal's media account in China

After one of the biggest pitches in China in recent times, Publicis Groupe has won L’Oreal’s media planning and buying in China. Publicis' win took away the account from Group M's Mindshare. 

Both Mindshare and Omnicom Media Group’s PHD were also involved in the pitch, which lasted about six months. In the final stage, the competition was between Publicis Groupe and Mindshare. According to media reports, annual billings are at least US$800 million. 

The contract has a duration of three years covering channel planning, activation, buying across every media channel which includes performance marketing. Publicis will set up a bespoke unit called OneL'Oreal.
