Radio City 91.1 FM partners with Bengaluru’s Midnight Marathon 2016

Radio City 91.1FM, the country’s leading radio network, is now the official radio partner for Bengaluru’s Midnight Marathon 2016, which will be held in Bengaluru on 10th December. The Bengaluru Midnight Marathon, which is in its 10th year is one of the most anticipated events in the Marathon calendar of the city and has seen phenomenal response from enthusiasts.

Organized by Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC), the run is a flagship fund-raising event for RBITC’s social service projects. The theme of this year’s marathon “Run for Happy Schools” was unveiled by brand ambassador and chief guest of the event - Olympic medal-winning pugilist MC Mary Kom at the press conference held on 15th November 2016. The Initiative over the years has created a huge platform and has been a most sought after flagship fund-raising event with scores of runners participating from over 20 countries to support the cause. This year the funds raised will go towards these schools to provide them with better facilities and learning environment.

Commenting on the association, Kartik Kalla, EVP & National Head – Programming, Marketing, AudaCITY, Radio City said, “We have always believed in going beyond the norm at Radio City. Partnering with Bengaluru’s Midnight Marathon 10th edition gives us an opportunity to connect with the listeners and chance to showcase our support for the cause the trust is supporting. This initiative is one such platform which will enable us to be an integral part of the compassionate and enthusiastic city of Bengaluru.”.

Talking about the association, Viraf Sutaria Chairman BMM said, “Bengaluru’s Midnight Marathon is running its 10th edition this year. Over the years we have received an incredible response and have seen a steady increase in the number of participants every year. Last year 8,000 people participated in this Marathon and this year we are expecting 10,000 plus participants. Radio City being the most loved radio station of the city that also celebrates the spirit of Bengaluru was an ideal fit for this association”.

The initiative that has been conceptualized to revel the essence of Bengaluru’s spirit is in sync with the Radio City brand ideology of “Rag Rag Mein Daude City” and ‘City ke Kone Kone se’. Through this association we believe in invoking the City Pride amongst all Bangalorians.
