Rajesh Mahapatra steps down as Editor at PTI

Rajesh Mahapatra, the editor at the Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency, has resigned. After nearly 11 years with the Hindustan Times, he joined PTI in June of last year.

Mahapatra has worked as a business writer, political analyst, public policy specialist, newsroom leader, and editor during the course of his more than 25-year-long career.
He also worked as a journalist and commentator in an effort to influence and contribute to public policy discussions in Odisha and throughout India. In addition, Mahapatra established the Forum for Odisha Dialogues, popularly known as the Odisha Alochana Chakra, a nonpartisan thought leadership organisation devoted to promoting productive discussions about the state's future.
