RANGMANCH Entertainment's first Marathi film 'Kalakaar' released

A film production company, RANGMANCH Entertainment in the past five years has made its presence felt through several short films, documentaries on social issues like rural education in Maharashtra, AIDS, Racism, etc. and also corporate advertisements. As a progression, the company has now released its first Marathi feature film titled ‘Kalakaar’.

The company is headed by a 23 year old, Aashay Palekar, a BMM graduate whose interest was always film-making and today he is taking his passion to the next level.

Talking to Adgully about the film, Palekar, CEO & Founder says, ““This story is about the

struggle of a young boy and the hurdles he faces to live his dream. How he achieves them is the essence of Kalakaar.”

The story is about the struggle of the protagonist, Avinash Jadhav a small town guy, his journey to the city of dreams, his rise to stardom and his real test of stardom. Romance, drama along with emotions will enthrall the audience, teach you, make you laugh, make u sober and most importantly will entertain you.

Kalakar has been filmed in a time frame of 12 days, at multiple locations in
Mumbai, Thane and Vikramgadh – Wada. It features Bhushan Pradhan and Amruta Deshmukh in the lead roles and a bundle of 10 special appearances that promises to hold you back with their performances.

“Kalakaar is a big budget film made with loads of hard work and dedication. “We also have Abhijeet Bhattacharya, well known playback singer who had sung title track for our film and with it made his entry into Marathi film industry,” Palekar said.

The film is highly being promoted on social media platforms, internet and in print along with outdoor promotion. To complete the look of the film Max Fashion India and Planet Fashion, one
of the prominent wardrobe partners for bollywood films are been associated as fashion partner for the first time with a Marathi feature film directed by Sakar Raut.

On the likely response to the film Palekar said, “We’ve done our work and now it’s all depend upon audience’s decision whether they like it or not, but I feel we’ll surely make our presence felt in their heart with our film Kalakaar.” 

Where RANGMANCH Entertainment’s film Kalakaar is hitting the theatre’s this Friday 24th May 2013, their next film ‘Shivyaa’ is all set to start shooting from this month.
