‘Ranveer Ching Returns’ tops YouTube Ads Leaderboard in August

YouTube Ads Leaderboard for Asia-Pacific for August 2016 features three ads from India, including the No. 1 spot. As is known, You Tube Ads Leaderboard showcases the 10 most viewed and most engaging ads that people chose to watch in a month on YouTube.

In the Asia-Pacific, well over half (60 per cent) of YouTube watchtime happens on mobile, but August’s list shows that brands are thinking big on the smallest of screens. There’s a certain cinematic flair on display here: from Ching’s Secret’s list-topping ad, mixing post-apocalyptic visuals with a Bollywood twist, to Suntory’s ad in the #2 spot with its swashbuckling fantasy theme. But this month’s list also shows it is not just about movie-trailer style videos – and that’s the beauty of the platform: on YouTube, there’s something for everyone.
