Reckitt Benckiser, Amul, LIC Top 3 advertisers in News genre during Jan-Jun’22

The News genre saw 33% indexed growth in ad volumes in Jan-Jun’22, compared to Jan-Jun’20 and 5% growth compared to Jan-Jun’21, as per TAM AdEx’s half yearly report on advertising in the News genre. The month of Mar'22 saw the highest ad volume share, that is, 19.5% for the period Jan-Jun’22.

Jan-Jun’20 saw the highest share of Ad Volumes, that is, 31% in the News genre, followed by Jan-Jun’22 and Jan-Jun’21 with 28% share each. During both periods, Hindi News topped with more than 15% share of the News genre’s Ad Volumes.

Spices category led the News genre with 3% share of ad volumes in Jan-Jun’22. Count of Categories on News genre rose by 4% in H1’22 over H1’21.

Services sector topped with 17% share of News genre’s Ad Volumes, followed by Services with 14% share.

Hari Bhoomi Communications was the top exclusive^ advertiser in News genre followed by ITV Network.

Reckitt Benckiser, GCMMF (Amul) and LIC were the Top 3 advertisers in News genre during Jan-Jun’22.

Prime Time was the most preferred timeband on News genre followed by Afternoon and Morning time-bands.

In Jan-Jun’22, 20-40 sec on News genre witnessed 10% growth in Ad Volumes compared to Jan-Jun’21.
