Salman Khan as Tiger is all set to bring back the era of Diwali releases

Salman Khan is undeniably the biggest movie star in the nation. The way he connects with the masses is like no superstar does, and the prime reason behind this is his mega stardom, which goes beyond the box office and establishes himself as the undisputed people's star. While the superstar has given several iconic characters in Indian cinema, one of the most celebrated is Tiger from the SPY Universe and the Tiger franchise. The first film in the franchise, 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012), presented Salman Khan as the Original Spy of the Universe. The film arrived during the Eid period in 2012, and it established new box office records upon its release with 100% occupancy on Day 1.

Following the release of Ek Tha Tiger, the sequel to the film, Tiger Zinda Hai, was released in cinemas during the Christmas period, and the film encashed festival benefits and received praise from the fans and the audiences, which contributed to the film's collection of over 300 crores in the Indian Box Office. Continuing the trend, Salman's hugely anticipated action thriller 'Tiger 3' is slated for release during the festival during the Diwali period this year.

Much before the trend of releasing films on Eid and Christmas came into fashion, filmmakers used to release their films during the Diwali period in the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. It was Salman Khan who made Eid synonyms with the films Wanted (2009) and Dabangg (2010), and with Tiger 3 releasing on Diwali, November 12, 2023, this year, the superstar of the nation is set to bring the Diwali release in fashion.

Throwing light on the Diwali release and the expectations from Tiger 3, trade analyst Komal Nahta wrote, "Everyone’s hoping, ‘Tiger 3’ will repeat history. #SalmanKhan's #Tiger franchise films have released in festival weeks and have been blockbusters. #EkThaTiger released on Eid, #TigerZindaHai arrived on Christmas and now #Tiger3 will hopefully repeat the magic on Diwali. The countdown for the film's release has begun, and the massive anticipation surrounded around the actioner after the release of the teaser, trailer, and chartbuster track Leke Prabhu Ka Naam,the superstar, is set to boom the Diwali period with Tiger 3 as the film is carrying extremely high buzz among the masses and everyone is anticipating the returns of OG spy Tiger with the third installment of Tiger 3.

The hugely anticipated Tiger 3, co-starring Katrina Kaif, Emraan Hashmi, and Riddhi Dogra, will release in cinemas on November 12, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
