Sandeep Marwaha joins MTS India as COO - Maharashtra Circle

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that nationally operates its telecom services under the MTS brand with over 12 million wireless customers today announced the appointment of Sandeep Marwaha as the Chief Operating Officer for Maharashtra circle. Reporting directly to Cheenu Seshadri, Chief Operating Officer, South & West Regions-MTS India, Sandeep will be responsible for further stimulating the business growth for the company in the circle.

Speaking on the appointment Cheenu Seshadri, Chief Operating Officer, South & West Regions, MTS India, said, "It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Sandeep Marwaha on board. I am confident that with his rich expertise and insight into the Indian telecom market, Sandeep will play a key role in driving growth of the company in one of the important telecom circles of India."

Sandeep Marwaha brings with him a rich experience of over 20 years including more than 6 years in the telecom sector. During his last assignment at Vodafone Essar Ltd, as the Vice President for Punjab and Himachal Pradesh circle, he managed the entire sales and marketing operations in the circle.

In May 2011, MTS India adopted a regional operating structure in view of the company's rapidly expanding voice and data services across the country. The structure was put in place to enable faster decision making and ensuring flawless execution of the company's data centric- voice enabled strategy. The coming on board of Sandeep Marwaha as the Chief Operating Officer for Maharashtra Circle is in line with the execution of the same strategy.

Sandeep Marwaha is an engineering graduate from Panjub Engineering College, Chandigarh and is an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi.
