Sanjay Jaju appointed as new Information and Broadcasting Secretary

Sanjay Jaju, a 1992-batch IAS officer from Telangana cadre, has been appointed as the new Information and Broadcasting Secretary. He takes over the position from Apurva Chandra, who joins as Health Secretary.

Sanjay Jaju has held significant positions in government administration, including Additional Secretary to the Department of Defence Production and Director of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation.He has served in various capacities in Andhra Pradesh, contributing to IT industrial investment, food security, relief and rehabilitation efforts, infrastructure development, and civic amenities.
Jaju holds a Masters' degree in technology and is a Cost and Management Accountant. He has received numerous awards for his work in e-governance and public service.

Along with him, there have been many other changes in the system, mentioned as under:
Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, a retired 1988-batch IAS officer from Uttarakhand cadre, has been named Secretary to the anti-corruption ombudsman Lokpal on a contract basis.
Ashish Kumar Bhutani, a 1992-batch IAS officer from Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is appointed as Secretary to the Ministry of Cooperation.
Raj Kumar Goyal has been appointed as Secretary to the Department of Border Management.
Niten Chandra, the Legal Affairs Secretary, will now serve as Secretary to the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare.
K Moses Chalai has been appointed as Secretary of Inter State Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Home Affairs, transitioning from the role of Secretary, North Eastern Council Secretariat.

Anil Malik will serve as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Women and Child Development, eventually taking over as Secretary after the superannuation of the incumbent Indevar Pandey.
Sumita Dawra, currently serving as Special Secretary (Logistics) in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, will become OSD in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, eventually assuming the role of Secretary after the retirement of Arti Ahuja.
Vijay Kumar, the Special Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation, has been named Chairman of the Inland Waterways Authority of India.
The ACC has also approved in-situ upgradation of posts held by four officers, including P Daniel, Rashmi Chowdhary, A Neeraja, and Shyam Bhagat Negi.

Additionally, Reeta Vasishta, who was in charge of the Central Agency Section in the Ministry of Law and Justice, has been appointed as the Member Secretary of the 22nd Law Commission of India.
These appointments reflect the ongoing administrative changes within the Indian bureaucracy.
