Yes, Bollywood’s very own Big B along with his better half Jaya Bachchan to star in Bhojpuri movie Ganga Devi directed by Abhishek Cheddha . Ganga Devi produced by Deepak Sawant under the banner Dakshina Films starring the heartthrobs of Bhojpuri Cinema, Dinesh Lal Yadav & Pakhi Hegde. Bollywood actors starring in the movie does not just confine to the Bachchan family but also national award winner for the movie ‘I am Kalam’, Gulshan Grower.

 

Ganga Devi, a woman oriented movie that shapes up in a village. The current political scenario has 50 percent reserved for woman. This story revolves around the life of the main protagonist whose husband coaxes her to stand up for the elections which she eventually wins. But unlike other politicians, she wants to utilize her power to resolve the issues prevalent in our villages.

 

There is always a creator & a destroyer too likewise when there is an angel in the society; it is very much likely to have a devil too. Gulshan Grower, who continues to play his bad boy image in Bhojpuri Cinema, too, does not go well with the ‘Doing good for the community’ idea of the female protagonist. While on the other hand, senior Bachchans who play the in laws offer as much help as they could for the upliftment of the society with the female lead and be her support system.

 

It is very much evident, that Bhojpuri is gradually making its mark with such meaningful cinema roping in the best of the industry. Director Abhishek Cheddha & producer Deepak Sawant are out there to offer one strong film.

 

Ganga Devi also to be made in Hindi soon after its original release. Release date being 14th September, it is the very 2nd big budget of Bhojpuri cinema to be released on national level.
