Smriti Irani to host Life OK's 'Delhi Fights Back' campaign

After successfully taking the movement against crime and injustice to the grassroots with state-specific weekend series, Savdhaan India - India Fights Back, a docu-drama on Life OK, now travels to New Delhi to give voice to those deprived of justice in the national capital.

Savdhaan India will start its special ‘Delhi Fights Back’ series on 10th November that will be hosted by small-screen icon and social activist SmritiIrani. The special weekend series on Delhi specific cases was introduced on Thursday through a street play in Bengali Market near Connaught Place.

On this occasion, SmritiIrani, said, “Savdhaan India, unlike other shows, is focused on providing solutions to problems. As a responsible citizen, I feel it’s my duty to spread this message. I decided to be a part of the show as it aims to encourage people to fight back against criminals irrespective of their social stature.”

Despite being the capital of India, Delhi has over time become infamous for its rising crime graph. The crime rate in the capital city is soaring at an alarming pace even though it houses some of the most important symbols of our democracy and is home to most Parliamentarians.

Savdhaan India - Delhi Fights Back will uncover the dark underbelly of this city which paints stark contradictions to its plush modern avenues. The series will highlight battles of common citizens who fought the high and mighty to get justice.

Life OK is guided by the philosophy of ‘cherish your values and beliefs’ and aims to instill confidence in viewers to stand up for their rights. Savdhaan India inspires the oppressed through stories of real life battles and is a natural extension of Life OK’s guiding philosophy.

Savdhaan India illustrates cases where people have valiantly fought back against atrocities such as female foeticide, untouchability, child labour and sexual harassment. The movement alerts viewers and inspires them to counter injustice with firm determination.

It airs on Life OK, Monday – Friday at 10.30 PM and the regional series is a weekend special which airs every Saturday-Sunday at 10PM.
