Sony Music appoints Vinit Thakkar as managing director

Vinit Thakkar has been appointed as managing director by Sony Music Entertainment. He formerly served as the chief operating officer for India and South Asia at Universal Music India.
Since joining UMI in 2012, Thakkar has held several prominent positions there and has worked with renowned Bollywood director Mohit Suri to launch VYRL Originals. Thakkar worked for Sony Music, Citibank, and Titan before joining UMG.
